As part of our increased involvement in the local community, our recent donation of cakes to St John’s Primary and Nursery School helped contribute towards raising more than £200 for the school.
After nearly 6 months of being closed, Liberty Quays has finally reopened at a cost of well over £250K. The store has been completely refitted from top to bottom. In keeping with the company’s ethos, we have used the very latest energy saving technologies. We now have more than 23 meters of chilled foods, 7 metres worth of frozen and 7.5 meters dedicated to chilled alcohol. We have also massively increased our standard grocery ranges, meaning this 3,000sq ft store really is a mini supermarket. This new store with more refrigeration and freezer space than before is saving more than 20% on its electricity consumption.
To celebrate the reopening of Liberty Quays, we are running a competition to win an iPad mini along with 4 runner-up prizes of £50 worth of shopping vouchers. All you need to do to enter is to collect an entry form with any purchase from our brand new Liberty Quays store. GOOD LUCK!
Frobisher House has just been completely refitted at a cost of over £160k. We have used this opportunity to install some of the latest energy saving technologies such as, LED lighting, glass doors on our chillers and voltage optimisation. We also took the opportunity to extend the floor area by 30%. This now makes the store just over 2,200sq ft of retail sales area. However as a result of the new equipment installed, our new, larger store consumes 20% less electricity than before.
In November 2012 this store suffered from a catastrophic flood which has resulted in us having to close whilst we sort out matters with our insurance company. Watch this space…we will be back, even bigger and better than before!
After nearly two years of planning, our free-to-use cash machine at Frobisher House is now operational. This ATM is available 24 hours a day, free of charge.
